T4MA'S RIDE ALONG SERIES
T4MA’s Ride-Along series, launched in collaboration with Alternatives for Community and Environment and New England Community Project (formerly New England United for Justice) began August 2024 with the goal of connecting communities through shared transportation experiences.
By linking policy to real-life experiences, T4MA seeks to ensure that these lived experiences drive the development of policy priorities. Stay tuned as we continue sharing insights from participants on transportation and their personal stories.
Since the launch of this series, T4MA staff have partnered with communities across the Commonwealth, from Boston to the Hilltowns to the Cape to experience their commutes in real time – the good and the bad.
The Money Train: A Learning Series
Transportation funding, access, and connectivity are huge issues for the Commonwealth. A vision of a just and equitable transportation system for everyone needs to be funded sustainably, consistently, and statewide.
In 2024,T4MA launched our Money Train learning initiative to broaden the conversation, add depth to our collective knowledge, and ensure community voices and perspectives are included. Looking at issues of funding and access through the lens of transportation justice, we raise questions and explore how we can move toward the transportation system we envision.
The People's Caravan: A Learning Series on Transportation Justice
From the MBTA to Berkshire Regional Transit Authority, and from neighborhood street corners to highways spanning the state – we know that our transportation system is not working. Now more than ever we feel how the existing system limits our access to opportunity, our health, and the climate.
We know that people in Massachusetts are impacted by these issues on a daily basis, and that the best solutions will come directly from the community – not from a few people deciding what’s best for everyone.
In 2024, T4MA launched a 4-part learning series to help new organizers, members of the community, and those interested in transportation work so that they can gain new knowledge and collaborate on how best to get decision-makers to advance transportation justice.
