On September 4-5, 2025, I was invited to join an international conference in Paris on Towards Sustainable Urban Proximities. The conference revolved around the framework of the 15-minute city, and of creating sustainable, accessible cities rooted in climate justice, diversity and equity. Among my co-panelists from Spain, Italy, Japan and France, I shared our experience in changing multi-family housing, and how that was developed on the backbone of transit access.
Personally, a very meaningful experience, as this marked the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, where in another lifetime, I was a climate negotiator.
